Chaneys manages residential property auctions and commercial property auctions. With Chaneys, the selling or buying of a property by auction is simple. We offer inspections of auction properties and full and proper advice without obligation. We will go through the auction sales particulars and catalogues with you, offer advice on reserves, and will liaise with your solicitors in the matter of the sale. We will advertise your property auction locally and if appropriate nationally as well as on the internet.
Pre-auction, Chaneys will organise both open and specific property viewings, and following the sale of the property by auction, will supervise matters through to a conclusion. Upon satisfactory sale of a commercial or residential auction property we charge a nominal entry and competitive commission completely tailored to the situation.
Chaneys are able to auction your residential or commercial property either collectively (for mulitple properties) or on an individual basis. Dependent on market conditions, collective property auctions are often an effective way of selling property. In the past we have been able to conduct collective property auctions in the Waterhouse Chamber or Victoria Hall in Reading's Town Hall (subject to availability). Auctions for individual properties would be held on the site of the property being sold.
Collective auctions are often best suited to properties that appeal to a cross section of buyers such as investors, developers and the like. Individual auctions on-site can be more cost effective and are therefore suited to one-off individual properties. Property auctions are conducted by John Turrill BSc FRICS.
